Constitution Week

Constitution Week has been an a huge success for our Chapter.  Our education and historic preservation initiatives have been received wholeheartedly by more schools than ever before.

In August, we sent out a letter to the superintendents and principals of the schools in Missoula and Ravalli Counties.  WOW! We never anticipated how the schools would value our Constitution Week efforts.  We created Constitution education packets for 1,000 children.  Our members taught in 12 classrooms in 4 days!  A Sons of the American Revolution member arrived in his Patriot garb.  One of our members dressed as Martha Washington.  The response was HUGE!

Our Chapter is touching the lives of all these students with Constitution education.  Establishing relations with these schools through Constitution Week will now provide the students with further opportunities to participate in our other education programs, such as the History Essay Contest.

Thank you to all who participated to make this a huge success.
