About Us

The DAR is a service organization for women who are directly descended from a person who was involved in the United States’ struggle for independence. DAR is a non-profit organization that promotes education and patriotism. Membership is limited to direct lineal descendants of soldiers or others of the American Revolutionary War period who aided the cause of independence.

The Bitter Root Chapter, NSDAR, is made up of women of all ages and backgrounds who work together, helping our servicemen and women, our veterans, and our youth in our communities, as we work to promote patriotism, education, and historic preservation.
